Happy One year

Well, I’ve been planning this day for a while now, today marks the one year anniversary that I created this blog and posted my first post about how I wanted to lose weight, Well, where have this blog and I been?

Well, I’ve lost 20 pounds, I’ve been on crutches, hyper extended my knee, spent three days in the hospital, started sophomore year, had a great season of golf, made the basketball team, completed the basketball season, realized that badminton wasn’t for me, and made endless attempts at posting daily and here we are, a year later with over 100 posts, over 400 followers, and so much support from all of you out there that makes me want to keep going. If I do say so, myself, that’s been a great year.

Now, even through all of the friendships and memories I’ve made on this blog, the outcome isn’t what I pictured. Before I hurt my knee, I thought I’d be 140 pounds at the end of summer, but I was 20 over, I thought I’d be slim and rocking that skin-tight dress to my dances, but it didn’t turn out that way. So, what I’ve decided to do is start over, from square one, and see if this summer can be even more successful than last, I started p90x today and I am very excited to get my butt kicked in the next 90 days, however, this blog carries baggage that I don’t want to deal with, so I am making a new blog,  I have yet to post or design anything yet, so it’s very barren, but I will get to posting ASAP. I want to not only talk about what I ate and random school updates, but also recipes, other workouts, and other random stuff that comes to mind.

So, it’s been an absolute joy with his blog, and this year has been marvelous.

The gods are not on my side.

Well. It seems as if every time I really get on track and make it far with the 30 Day Shred, something has to come in he way of my plans. In my last post, I mentioned my stomach bothering me and how I may or may not be lactose intolerant but let’s not talk about that, So, I had food poisoning, and then I missed three days of the 30DS even though I said they would happen. I figured I should not risk feeling sick for more days and when you can’t stand up without writhing in pain, something’s not right. We think I had food poisoning, but I don’t know. It wasn’t related to my cyst from my hospital visit in July, everyone though I was, but I’m sure it wasn’t… different pain in different places.

I really think that the workout ‘gods’ don’t ever want  me to complete the 30 day Shred. Why? Everytime I get far, like one week or more, something happens and I have to restart. I only missed three days so I started last Thursday and I will complete it (or so we hope) by May 24th, my last day of school. I’m on day 9 already, which by stating this, makes me realize how long ago, I made my last  post., Darn, Anyway, I’ll just pick up with the day I left off on for the 30 Days of weight loss challenge and I will be starting a new squat challenge tomorrow, I’m leaving for a party that gets over at 10:30 in about 5 minutes so I’ll start it tomorrow. My knee hasn’t been bugging me so I will try to finish the challenge. Woot.

Day 16- when did you first decide to lose weight?

Well, after 8th grade graduation. When a size 16 dress was snug and almost didn’t fit, after my doctor told me that my weight had skyrocketed. when I looked at pictures and my sister could barely wrap her arms around me, after I missed a day of school to avoid running, after I lost control of my weight and my eating habits, after my mom told me to ‘stop eating’ at a party, before I became me.

 

Well, you haven’t missed much in these past two weeks. I won junior class president. That’s really it. Yesterday was bring your child to work day at my school and on Thursday, we watched a birthing video in health. Children are adorable but having children doesn’t seem to fun. Anyway, I went to the cubs game yesterday with my mom, I ditched school, but whatever. It poured and poured but we stayed the whole game and the Cubs ended up losing by 1. IT happens. We were about six rows behind home plate. The tickets were amazing.

April Challenges Days 14 and 15

Well, school isn’t over, but it doesn’t matter because I didn’t go. I think that my sister, dad and i have food poisoning. My dad and sister first had stomach upsetness at midnight and mine started at four this morning, My sister went to school because she didn’t want to ruin her perfect attendance. She then threw up at school which makes me very grateful  that I didn’t go to school. Anyway, I have yet to do the 30DS and honestly, it will get done today. I already started Level 2, but if returning to Level 1 to give myself a break is what  I need, then that’s what I’ll do. Also, I may or may not be lactose intolerant. My stomach has been bugging me a lot lately, when I eat junk food (chocolates mainly which is dairy) and dairy.

I wanted to get tested for food allergies, but my mom said it was painful because you get a 10 by 10 grid of pricks on your back. Not the most pleasant thing in the world. So, my mom said we try taking dairy out of my diet for a week and every week take something else out until we find out what has been bugging me, So wish me luck.

Day 14- What’s your UGW? When you expect to reach it?

I want to be 140 pounds. But, if I get more muscle, being healthy and an ideal size may be more than that. My original goal was August 31st 2012, but I injured my  knee and then school started, and it just went downhill, I want to be 150 by the time school gets out, so May 24th.
Day 15- Are you vegan or vegetarian? If so, has this helped you lose weight? If not, would you ever consider turning vegan or vegetarian?

I am not either. I was a vegetarian for a month last year for english class. It was easy but I had to make separate meals and it got annoying. If my family did it with me, maybe it’d been easier and more enjoyable

Weight Loss Motivation

Sick!! Woot Woot!

Well, the title of this post isn’t really all that true. I am sick with a sinus infection and I was put on antibiotics for the next 10 days. Amoxicillin and nose nasal spray twice a day. That’s fun.

If some of you guys saw my most recent update post with pictures, you may notice that there is a red mark on my stomach. I thought it was a rash. It turns out I am allergic to some metal in my belt. I was really confused when my doctor told me this, because it’s only been present for the past  month or so. Thennn, I looked back in my belt owning, and realized that about 2 months ago, I bought a new belt. Great. So, yes, I am most likely allergic to nickel or copper or whatever the heck is in my belt. Yay. That’s all. I hope to return to school tomorrow only to miss another day of school on thursday. My mom is getting surgery and she needs me to take care of her while she is bedridden for the day, so yes, missing three of the five days this week. So, my three-day weekend will be filled with homework doing. Yay.

2012 in a Nut Shell

Well, here we go again. I haven’t posted in almost 20 days. I would like to say I’ve kept on track, but in all reality, I haven’t. Because my cyst appeared again, I was put of basketball, gym, and I had to rely on eating healthy to shed some weight. Which I did, but Christmas was three days ago and from the 22nd until yesterday, I kind of ate and ate. It wasn’t a lot of eating, just not healthy eating. I mentioned in my last post about how I was doing the No Junk Food Challenge, which I completed, and the Xmas squat challenge, which I stopped doing after day 5, because of long days, stress from finals, and I’m just a slacker. But, I am proud of what I have accomplished.

This year

  • I completed the No Junk Food Challenge 5 times
  • I got over my knee
  • I made 21 days on the 30 Day Shred
  • I got a B+ on my micro final
  • I lost 20 pounds since June (yep I’m at 160)
  • I have been eating healthy
  • I am enjoying exercise
  • I have created a blog
  • I have accumulated over 150 followers on this blog
  • I have written 81 posts
  • I have begun to like my body

I could go on, but I’ve realized that getting off track is easy, but getting back on track, while difficult, is a great decision. So, by this time next year, I hope to be on track, healthy, happy, and at my goal weight of 140 lbs or less. Let’s do it,

let’s take a look on these past 20 days

Well, I got back to playing basketball last Saturday, I played on Wednesday, we won. We lost on Thursday. Damn, We have another game today, wish us luck. 🙂 I got all A’s in school minus micro with a B+, that’s okay. I have started seeing definition in my arms, I don’t know what from, but I like it. I got an ultra sound from my stomach last week and it seemed all good, so I went to the OBGYN and he put me on a birth control pill to “relax the ovaries.” That is all, ovary relaxing, nothing else. I got stuff for Christmas! Whoa, I know. I got a new camera. a camera case, I desk calendar, some Micro and Macro economics books, a sweater, a sweatshirt, money, pajamas, etc. It was a good Christmas, and on Sunday, I go to another Christmas party and I think tomorrow some of my friends and I are getting together and exchanging gifts then, so more to come. December, other than that, has been pretty boring, but that’s okay. My friend and I plan on going to the YMCA next week because we don’t have a lot of practices. So, that’ll be fun. That’s really all I have to say, So I talk to you all tonight or tomorrow. 🙂

First off, Whoa, it’s December. Woot! T-minus 16 days until Christmas. Woot!

Dinner: beef stew and some rutabagas

December 2nd

Breakfast: cereal

Lunch: half grilled chicken caesar salad, half frontega chicken panini on focaccia- Panera

Dinner: .5 cup asparagus, chicken breast, .5 cup broccoli

Exercise: walking approx 30 minutes

Total calories: 1150

December 3rd

Breakfast: cereal

Lunch: orange, apple, yogurt, applesauce

Snack: carrots, pretzels bagel crisps

Dinner: rutabaga ,25 cup, beef and rice

Total calories: 1425

December 4th

Breakfast: cereal and an apple

Lunch:salami and cheese sandwich, apple, yogurt, applesauce

Snack: pretzels apple

Dinner: blackberries, yogurt, orange, chicken

Total calories: 1423

December 5th

Breakfast:cereal

Lunch: sandwich, applesauce, yogurt, apple, orange

Snack: celery

Dinner:pizza

Total calories: 1100

December 6th

Breakfast: cereal

December 9th

Breakfast: cereal and orange juice

Lunch: orange, applesauce, bagel thins,

Snack: strawberry fro-yo

Dinner: chicken kabobs and risotto

Total Calories: 1430

 

Sorry i haven’t been posting. I have finals coming up (wish me luck) and basketball, and getting ready to play tomorrow, and homework and Christmas present shopping, and just other un stuff. My grade in economics is an 89%. One more homework assignment and I have an A-. hallelujah!!!!!

November 27th

6 post in three days, be proud of me, be proud. 🙂

Well, anyway, let’s begin, shall we?

Well, woke up, ate some toast and nutella and went to school. School was the same as yesterday but not as eventful. i ended up choosing Religion vs. State, media, and Society.

After my morning classes and my 49.5/55 on my math test, it was lunch time. I had an apple, applesauce, yogurt, and a granola bar.

In chemistry, we learned about sexting and cyber-bullying. It was weird. I learned that computer ganstas are real things and that sextortion is a word.  Fun

After school, I went to a meeting about the Salvation army belll ringing that the club I am in does every year. Yep, fun.

And then i went to my game. We won 48-32. 16 turnovers later…. it was bad.

Oh, and i dressed up today. I wore a sweater and skirt and tights and everyone said I looked cute. It was great. The whole team dressed up. Fun.

anyway, then I came home and had pizza for dinner. 🙂

I  had a total of 1452 calories
