Getting better!

So, I went to school yesterday, got my (not so) big pile of homework, and then stayed home today to take care of my mom who got surgery yesterday. I feel much better and tomorrow I believe I will start the 30DS. Woot, Getting back into gears. That’s all. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sick!! Woot Woot!

Well, the title of this post isn’t really all that true. I am sick with a sinus infection and I was put on antibiotics for the next 10 days. Amoxicillin and nose nasal spray twice a day. That’s fun.

If some of you guys saw my most recent update post with pictures, you may notice that there is a red mark on my stomach. I thought it was a rash. It turns out I am allergic to some metal in my belt. I was really confused when my doctor told me this, because it’s only been present for the pastย  month or so. Thennn, I looked back in my belt owning, and realized that about 2 months ago, I bought a new belt. Great. So, yes, I am most likely allergic to nickel or copper or whatever the heck is in my belt. Yay. That’s all. I hope to return to school tomorrow only to miss another day of school on thursday. My mom is getting surgery and she needs me to take care of her while she is bedridden for the day, so yes, missing three of the five days this week. So, my three-day weekend will be filled with homework doing. Yay.

2012 in a Nut Shell

Well, here we go again. I haven’t posted in almost 20 days. I would like to say I’ve kept on track, but in all reality, I haven’t. Because my cyst appeared again, I was put of basketball, gym, and I had to rely on eating healthy to shed some weight. Which I did, but Christmas was three days ago and from the 22nd until yesterday, I kind of ate and ate. It wasn’t a lot of eating, just not healthy eating. I mentioned in my last post about how I was doing the No Junk Food Challenge, which I completed, and the Xmas squat challenge, which I stopped doing after day 5, because of long days, stress from finals, and I’m just a slacker. But, I am proud of what I have accomplished.

This year

  • I completed the No Junk Food Challenge 5 times
  • I got over my knee
  • I made 21 days on the 30 Day Shred
  • I got a B+ on my micro final
  • I lost 20 pounds since June (yep I’m at 160)
  • I have been eating healthy
  • I am enjoying exercise
  • I have created a blog
  • I have accumulated over 150 followers on this blog
  • I have written 81 posts
  • I have begun to like my body

I could go on, but I’ve realized that getting off track is easy, but getting back on track, while difficult, is a great decision. So, by this time next year, I hope to be on track, healthy, happy, and at my goal weight of 140 lbs or less. Let’s do it,

let’s take a look on these past 20 days

Well, I got back to playing basketball last Saturday, I played on Wednesday, we won. We lost on Thursday. Damn, We have another game today, wish us luck. ๐Ÿ™‚ I got all A’s in school minus micro with a B+, that’s okay. I have started seeing definition in my arms, I don’t know what from, but I like it. I got an ultra sound from my stomach last week and it seemed all good, so I went to the OBGYN and he put me on a birth control pill to “relax the ovaries.” That is all, ovary relaxing, nothing else. I got stuff for Christmas! Whoa, I know. I got a new camera. a camera case, I desk calendar, some Micro and Macro economics books, a sweater, a sweatshirt, money, pajamas, etc. It was a good Christmas, and on Sunday, I go to another Christmas party and I think tomorrow some of my friends and I are getting together and exchanging gifts then, so more to come. December, other than that, has been pretty boring, but that’s okay. My friend and I plan on going to the YMCA next week because we don’t have a lot of practices. So, that’ll be fun. That’s really all I have to say, So I talk to you all tonight or tomorrow. ๐Ÿ™‚

November 28th-30th

Hello again. Some fun stuff has happened in the past few days, or well sort of fun. Not really, whatever. My week was pretty chill except for Thursday bu I’ll get to that later.

Well I woke up on Wednesday and had some toast. Toast is fun. I went to school. I honestly don’t remember school butย  I had a sandwich, an apple, yogurt, and applesauce for lunch. Then for dinner I had half of an Asiago roast beef sandwich from panera. Fun

I had a total of 1262 calories. Woot.

Thursday the 29th

Well, I would have posted on the 29th, if I wasn’t at school for 13 hours. Yes, Well I woke up and some toast. I went to school and in my morning classes I didn’t accumulate any homework, hank god. For lunch I had the other half of my Asiago roast beef sandwich, a yogurt, an apple. applesauce, and chips. Then I went to all of my other classes and only had to study for one quiz, which I didn’t do… OOPS!

After school I edited yearbook spreads until 9 which was fun, just kidding. We didn’t even finish everything we wanted to. We could have stayed until 3 in the morning and probably not finished. Anyway, let’s continue. For dinner we ordered wings, pizza, and mozzarella sticks. It was great/ We had a big party and we worked for 5ish hours.

I had a total of 1543 calories/ Not bad, but it could be better. ๐Ÿ™‚

And Friday the 30th

I can’t believe that November is already over, It was over so fast.

Anyway, for breakfast, I had some toast and nutella. That is fun. And I went to school

School was school, boring except for lunch. I had some chips, an apple, a granola bar, and a yogurt. And then I finished school. I went to practice. I want to come back to playing very badly, soon is all I hope… but how soon?

Whenย  I got home from practice,. I had some wings that I took home from thursday night. And a granola bar.There was my day.

I had a total of 1562 calories. Ok ,I guess

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! AKA July 16th, 2012

Hello, everyone. Ii I could put sound onto wordpress,ย  I would, but I can’t, so whatever. Anyway, I woke up today at about 7:30 to the sound of my mom yelling at my dog because she chewed up part of her shoe. Nice one. Anyway, I flopped out of bed, and walked downstairs. And, because umm oh yeah THE NO JUNK FOOD CHALLENGE WAS OFFICIALLY OVER AT MIDNIGHT! I had a piece of banana bread with chocolate chips and a yogurt for breakfast. Oh my god. That was probably the best piece of anything I have ever eaten, I actually don’t think I like banana bread but I ate it and all I could taste was the chocolate. Yeah, anyway then my grandma picked me up and we went to the doctor.

This is where the Best Day Ever officially begins, yes, I was excited about the No Junk Food Challenge being over, but I may start it up again soon, and you’ll find out why later.

IMAGINE!

You wereย  sitting waiting patiently at the doctor’s office waiting for him to give you the news on your knee. The nurse calls out ‘Alicia’ and you hop up out of your seat. She takes you into room 8, and she says step on the scale. You take off your shoes and onto the scale, your mortal enemy. You hold you breath and close yours eyes until you hear the unmistakable noise from the scale and you open your eyes. 166.6 is what you see, Holy Sh*t is all you can think. You haven’t been anywhere near the 60’s since 6th or 7th grade. You want to cry and take a picture of the lowest weight you ever remember seeing. You step off and the nurse continues talking to you about temperature and blood pressure but none of that matters. You weigh 166.6 lbs and you feel unstoppable.

Yep, that was me, this morning at about 10:05 today. I would have a picture but my phone was with my stuff in the car. Damn. Anyway, I lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks. Yes, the last time I was at the doctor, the week after I hurt my knee I weighed in at 174.4 lbs. And if you recall, my highest was 199.2 last summer. I will never ever see that number on the scale again.

Anyway, after she left, I waited patiently for about 15 minutes for the doctor, or what seemed like years because all I could think of was the worst. I plan for the worst, but I hope for the best.

Anyway, when the doctor came in, he asked how I felt, made me walk, do lunges ( I wanted to die because I was so scared that I may hurt my knee again…), and do a squat. Then, he proceeded to tell me howย  my injury was just probably from overuse in such a small period of time.

He gave me the OK to run, on grass or treadmill so there is no pounding on my knee… YMCA here I come, bike, swim, and do whatever just as long as I don’t have any pain again. And, so of course, I don’t hurt it from overuse again. Thank God was all I could say. I wanted to hug him, but I don’t really know him that well, so I didn’t.

I went to my grandma’s house, and we had lunch, I had a turkey sandwich and some fruit salad. She congratulated me for getting rid of all the weight (I have no intentions of finding it again) and for sticking to my diet. I do not like the term diet, I prefer life choice. Either way, I was happy. I called my dad and was joyous and wouldn’t stop expressing my ecstatic feelings towards everything that had happened thus far.

Then, at 2:30 I had my physical therapy appointment. She said i was doing really well. YES! I will learn how to tape my knee on Wednesday for sports and such. I’ll teach you all. Hey, more practice for me, right?

Then, I went back to my grandma’s house. She bought Twizzlers and yes, I had some. Not a lot, but I did have some.ย  I was in need, not really, but still. Anyway, I have decided on how I am going to attempt to eliminate junk food from my diet completely, err…umm… almost completely. I will let my self have 5 things that would qualify as junk food this week, then next week 4, and each week dropping one, until it reaches one. I will stick with that for a while and then go from there.

For dinner, I had pasta, garlic bread, green beans and fruit salad. It was all good.

Well, so long best day ever! It’s been rather amazing in so many ways that words can’t describe.
