Here’s to a New Year

Well, these past few days have been quite fun

  • I have committed myself to the 30 Day Shred, I will complete it this time, I know it,
  • This may end up being my January goal for 13 in 13
  • I put on three pounds…
  • I got a butt putt

Well, let’s begin,

I was at my grandpa’s house on Sunday for Christmasย  with my dad’s side of the family. I didn’t eat much. For breakfast I had a yogurt and an apple. Oh, and a smoothie. And when we got there, I had some chips and salsa and a bit later, some pizza. I got 150 dollars from my grandpa, and aunts and uncles. Some socks from my cousins, and a ‘butt putt’ from my grandpa

Yes. it’s for practicing my putting obviously, and when you make it in the hole, the butt farts. Yay for me. There are 6 different noises in case you guys were wondering, which you probably weren’t.

While I was there, I weighed myself. I have put on 3 lbs in the past two weeks, but it was later in the day, so not completely accurate. Whatever.

I have also decided to start the 30 Day Shred tomorrow. My January goal for the 13 in 13 will be to complete the 30 Day Shred, because, in all my attempts, I have yet to complete it. But that’s what new years are for.

Anyway, t-minus 3 hours and 18 minutes until 2013, so while I’m posting, I’ll talk about today

Well, Happy New Year’s Eve.

For starters, I woke up at 5:30. Why? Don’t ask me. Anyway, I, for some reason walked downstairs, covered myself with a blanket and fell back to sleep in my dad’s recliner. Which, I then awoke at 8, better, not great, but better. For breakfast, I had an apple and a cookie, not great, but it’s New Year’s Eve. I was thinking about starting the No Junk Food Challenge but maybe, continuing it fr longer than the 21 days, which I have only completed once. Oops. the last time, I woke up, thinking that the challenge was over on the 21st, not the 22nd. I’m terrible, I know. Whatever. I really want to cut junk food out of my life because I feel worse after I have eaten it. The happiness is only momentarily.

Any who, I then went to Target, didn’t buy anything, and then spent about 7 hours at my friend’s house. we had grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch, with some barbeque Lays on the side. She was out-of-town for Christmas, and other than getting me a sweatshirt, she brought me back some pudding from a restaurant where she went. It’s like sitting on a chocolate cloud. ๐Ÿ™‚ So, we shared some of the pudding, and then we played Just Dance 4. I got it as a Christmas present and so did she, so we decided to play it. After that, we watched the Jane Russell and Jeanne Crain movie, Gentlemen Marry Brunettes. It was really good. And then, I went home.

We are having appetizers right now, anticipating the New Year. I can’t wait! Happy New Year every one!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

13 in 13

So, I was following some new blogs today, and i came across a post called 13 in 13. curious, I clicked on it and read.

Apparently, Weight Wars has created the ultimate challenge for 2013.

  • Set yourself 13 challenges for 2013, they will haveย a themeย each month for you to focus on.
  • Each month, within your theme you will set a mini goal or two for just that month.
  • The thirteenth challenge will work slightly differently and that will be explained when you sign up!
  • You get to chose which months you participate or don’t participate but if you take part in all 13 challenges you will be entered in to a prize draw.

And that’s all. I can;t wait to do this. I have to think of my 13 goals, but I will soon.

2012 in a Nut Shell

Well, here we go again. I haven’t posted in almost 20 days. I would like to say I’ve kept on track, but in all reality, I haven’t. Because my cyst appeared again, I was put of basketball, gym, and I had to rely on eating healthy to shed some weight. Which I did, but Christmas was three days ago and from the 22nd until yesterday, I kind of ate and ate. It wasn’t a lot of eating, just not healthy eating. I mentioned in my last post about how I was doing the No Junk Food Challenge, which I completed, and the Xmas squat challenge, which I stopped doing after day 5, because of long days, stress from finals, and I’m just a slacker. But, I am proud of what I have accomplished.

This year

  • I completed the No Junk Food Challenge 5 times
  • I got over my knee
  • I made 21 days on the 30 Day Shred
  • I got a B+ on my micro final
  • I lost 20 pounds since June (yep I’m at 160)
  • I have been eating healthy
  • I am enjoying exercise
  • I have created a blog
  • I have accumulated over 150 followers on this blog
  • I have written 81 posts
  • I have begun to like my body

I could go on, but I’ve realized that getting off track is easy, but getting back on track, while difficult, is a great decision. So, by this time next year, I hope to be on track, healthy, happy, and at my goal weight of 140 lbs or less. Let’s do it,

let’s take a look on these past 20 days

Well, I got back to playing basketball last Saturday, I played on Wednesday, we won. We lost on Thursday. Damn, We have another game today, wish us luck. ๐Ÿ™‚ I got all A’s in school minus micro with a B+, that’s okay. I have started seeing definition in my arms, I don’t know what from, but I like it. I got an ultra sound from my stomach last week and it seemed all good, so I went to the OBGYN and he put me on a birth control pill to “relax the ovaries.” That is all, ovary relaxing, nothing else. I got stuff for Christmas! Whoa, I know. I got a new camera. a camera case, I desk calendar, some Micro and Macro economics books, a sweater, a sweatshirt, money, pajamas, etc. It was a good Christmas, and on Sunday, I go to another Christmas party and I think tomorrow some of my friends and I are getting together and exchanging gifts then, so more to come. December, other than that, has been pretty boring, but that’s okay. My friend and I plan on going to the YMCA next week because we don’t have a lot of practices. So, that’ll be fun. That’s really all I have to say, So I talk to you all tonight or tomorrow. ๐Ÿ™‚

First off, Whoa, it’s December. Woot! T-minus 16 days until Christmas. Woot!

  • I started the No Junk Food Challenge again

First this post is going to be a quickie because I’m going out to dinner and such con los abuelos. Bien

Breakfast: Cereal

Lunch: salami and cheese sandwich

Snack: applesauce, grapes,

Dinner: beef stew and some rutabagas

Total calories: 1100

December 2nd

Breakfast: cereal

Lunch: half grilled chicken caesar salad, half frontega chicken panini on focaccia- Panera

Dinner: .5 cup asparagus, chicken breast, .5 cup broccoli

Exercise: walking approx 30 minutes

Total calories: 1150

December 3rd

Breakfast: cereal

Lunch: orange, apple, yogurt, applesauce

Snack: carrots, pretzels bagel crisps

Dinner: rutabaga ,25 cup, beef and rice

Total calories: 1425

December 4th

Breakfast: cereal and an apple

Lunch:salami and cheese sandwich, apple, yogurt, applesauce

Snack: pretzels apple

Dinner: blackberries, yogurt, orange, chicken

Total calories: 1423

December 5th

Breakfast:cereal

Lunch: sandwich, applesauce, yogurt, apple, orange

Snack: celery

Dinner:pizza

December 6th

Breakfast: cereal

Lunch: yogurt and some sourdough bread

Snack: popcorn

Dinner: hotdog and ketchup

Total calories: 1405

December 9th

Breakfast: cereal and orange juice

Lunch: orange, applesauce, bagel thins,

Snack: strawberry fro-yo

Dinner: chicken kabobs and risotto

Total Calories: 1430

 

Sorry i haven’t been posting. I have finals coming up (wish me luck) and basketball, and getting ready to play tomorrow, and homework and Christmas present shopping, and just other un stuff. My grade in economics is an 89%. One more homework assignment and I have an A-. hallelujah!!!!!
