April Challenges Days 14 and 15

Well, school isn’t over, but it doesn’t matter because I didn’t go. I think that my sister, dad and i have food poisoning. My dad and sister first had stomach upsetness at midnight and mine started at four this morning, My sister went to school because she didn’t want to ruin her perfect attendance. She then threw up at school which makes me very grateful  that I didn’t go to school. Anyway, I have yet to do the 30DS and honestly, it will get done today. I already started Level 2, but if returning to Level 1 to give myself a break is what  I need, then that’s what I’ll do. Also, I may or may not be lactose intolerant. My stomach has been bugging me a lot lately, when I eat junk food (chocolates mainly which is dairy) and dairy.

I wanted to get tested for food allergies, but my mom said it was painful because you get a 10 by 10 grid of pricks on your back. Not the most pleasant thing in the world. So, my mom said we try taking dairy out of my diet for a week and every week take something else out until we find out what has been bugging me, So wish me luck.

Day 14- What’s your UGW? When you expect to reach it?

I want to be 140 pounds. But, if I get more muscle, being healthy and an ideal size may be more than that. My original goal was August 31st 2012, but I injured my  knee and then school started, and it just went downhill, I want to be 150 by the time school gets out, so May 24th.
Day 15- Are you vegan or vegetarian? If so, has this helped you lose weight? If not, would you ever consider turning vegan or vegetarian?

I am not either. I was a vegetarian for a month last year for english class. It was easy but I had to make separate meals and it got annoying. If my family did it with me, maybe it’d been easier and more enjoyable

April Challenges 11, 12, and 13

I’m keeping up with the 30 Day Shred, I’m starting Level 2 tomorrow! Yay!

So, I would have posted yesterday or Thursday, had i not been worrying about the sink whole 10 miles from my house, the basement and part of my first floor of our school flooding, our new ‘skylight’ at my school, the railings at my school being squishy, having to take a different route to a stairwell being closed, and having one leak almost over my locker that made the ceiling about 5 inches lower than it should have been.

Feel free to take a look at all the pictures that were taken in my neighborhood. My aunt had flooding p to the ceiling of her basement, and many people had to evacuate their houses. It’s quite sad.

Anywho, that didn’t stop me from working out, and starting Level 2 of the 30DS today. I think I will start the 30 days squat challenge again today, Yay.

Day 12: What do you normally eat? weekdays I have three hard boiled eggs, and a banana or yogurt for breakfast. Lunch- apple, banana, yogurt, applesauce, granola/protein bar, something else of my choice. Dinner: it’s never really the same

Day 13: Are you losing weight the healthy or unhealthy way? I workout, eat right, eat enough, I’m assuming that’s healthy

April Challenges Day 10

Well, yesterday, i said I’d talk about my bad week thus far. But, before I do, I want to explain a few interesting things my dad was telling me

  1. Chocolate milk is the best thing to drink after a workout because it has all the essential vitamins and minerals and doesn’t have excess sodium like Gatorade.
  2. this  website   has really good tricep workouts (#1 especially) and they are something i really need to focus on… No, my dad did not show me the website, but someone on the today show was doing those exercises and he said they were beneficial or something…

30 Days of Weight Loss Challenge Day 10: What was the hardest thing you gave up during this “weight loss?”

Ummmmmm, well I technically haven’t given up food. i mean i try to not eat that unhealthily but i let myself indulge. I don’t really enjoy fast food, it makes me feel gross. I mean i gave up eating however the hell I wanted. I look at portions, so I control how much goes into my mouth.

Well, my shitty week.

Monday, well the day sucked. My favorite teacher and yearbook advisor said she isn’t going to advise yearbook next year, and that a new teacher will. She’s nice and all but i really want my old yearbook advisor back. I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone until the current EIC was told, so I moped around the rest of the day and only my parents, and two close friends knew. Anyway, then in macro, my teach made sense, messed up on what at first made sense, and then proceeded to not make sense for the rest of the period. So, I went home and cried, It was a Monday and all that happened. Then, i thought that something on TV would make me feel better. I turned on and the news is on… bombing in Boston. Really? Two friends of mine were at the marathon at the finish line. They weren’t hurt, thank god. Their uncle was running. Their uncle had finished the run about 10 minutes before the bombing, They got in their car, and were driving back to the hotel , and within five minutes got a call saying what had happened. I’m overjoyed that they’re okay. And then we also had another bomb threat. Really? So, that was Monday for you all.

Tuesday.. the day didn’t really improve. My friend was back from Boston, I made myself coffee. That’s about it. I was also told that I had a nice face, which I mentioned yesterday. My teacher continued to confuse me and the girl I sit next to.

Wednesday. Today, my teacher apologized to the girl I sit next to and I personally for screwing us up. apparently the past two days we had been angry-looking and giving him death glares, so he felt bad. Today was alright. I am running for president of my junior board, wish me luck. I had a review for micro until four, then my macro teacher, the girl I sit next to in macro, and another girl stayed and reviewed for the test we have tomorrow. I finally understand it and I can’t wait to get an A on this test! We were there until 5 and if that’s what it takes for me to understand things, then that’s what it takes. After that, I walked, hoodless. to the house I dogsit for to get paid and give their key back. it was pouring and gross, and cold. It looked like there was going to be a tornado, but here hasn’t been one so far. I got paid $15.

April Challenges Day 8

Guys, okay, So, before i tell you all about my challenges, I really just want to say that I am really accomplished with what I have accomplished this week. I have stayed with the 30 Day Shred, only skipped posting for 2 days, and only one day have i eaten over my calorie budget. Also, you all know my habits in posting, and that a post a week is usually good. But this month I’ve posted 12 posts, and have gotten over 700 views this month. Which will soon surpass my 830 in June. To be honest, I’m loving posting every day and the support i am getting from all of you. So thank you!

Anyway, Day 8 is my workout routine.

Well, I get up at 5;20-5:30 and do the 30-Day Shred. Now that it’s getting nicer outside, I’ll be taking my dogs for walks at night because, well, it’s nice outside.

One more thing before departing, Holy arm muscle batman. It’s ironic because I’ve never seen/read batman. Anyway, My arms (left in particular) is very defined and my bicep is actually hard. Whoa, it’s great!

April Challenges Days 5-7

Hello! Well, I have been absent for the past few days. Friday- I spent about 5 hours working on a manual (we named him Manuel) for the kids in rouser next year. We stayed up until 1:30 in the morning so, I wasn’t going to post. I don’t really remember why I didn’t post yesterday. I think I didn’t feel like turning my computer on, and today, I went to the Cubs game. They lost, 10-7 in the 10th inning to the giants. We were winning 4-1 in the fifth, until the giants scored four and it just went down from there. Well, I have been continuing the 30 Day Shred. Friday, at dinner, some Creme Brulee was practically shoved down my throat so there goes that challenge. My knee has been getting rather angry with my excessive squat doing, so I’m taking a break from that as well, so I don’t end up on crutches once more. And, anyway after the Cubs game which where we were sitting (which was sunless) and about 45 degrees, we stepped out of Wrigley field and pulled off our fleeces and gloves because it was 72 outside. It was great. When we got home, I took my dog for about a two-mile walk.

Day 5- Why do you really want to lose weight? Are you doing it for you?

  • I really don’t know why I started. Ever since 7th grade, I have wanted to weight about 140-145 pounds. And now that I’ve lost 40 pounds, why not get to my goal weight.
  • I am doing it for me. I mean, my confidence level went from a -10 to a 5 sometimes higher and i want that to keep increasing

Day 6- Do you binge?If so, explain why you think you do this.

  • For the longest time I never knew what this meant… but i probably have. I don’t really know. Are there times when I’m just so hungry, I could possibly eat a whale. Yes, when this happens, I try to eat healthy foods or one piece of bread, and then just give myself 10 or 20 minutes. If I’m still hungry after then, I eat more, if not, I don’t eat more.

Day 7- Do your parents know you are trying to lose weight? Do they care?

  • My parents know I have lost weight, They know I workout every morning. I don’t know if they think I am trying to get thinner or healthier or what, I don’t know if they know for sure. Do they care? I assume they are happy for what I’ve accomplished

April Challenges Day 1… Round 2

Well my friends. Through my week of absence I have finally found the reason I have not once completed the 30 Day Shred. Like I am doing now with my English homework, I procrastinate. When  I wait until 10 O’Clock and night to do the 30 Day Shred, I have a better chance of not doing it, or doing it poorly, than actually trying. So, I have devised a plan on how I can do the 30 Day Shred, my No Junk Food Challenge which will start tomorrow, the 30 days of weight loss answering of questions, and the squat challenge. Ready for this?

Alright, Well, I’ll just give you my last night into today and we’ll talk about it

Well, last night I set an alarm for 5:20 and 5:30. Then, well normally I go to sleep at 8. “go to sleep.” By sleep, I mean lay in my bed and screw around on my phone until 11 and then sleep. Well, last night I was asleep before nine and alert and ready to go for my workout when my alarm went off at 5:20. So, I got out of bed, put my workout gear on, and did the 30 Day Shred… at 5:30 in the morning. I don’t remember doing this, but it happened. And, well it seems to me that I can’t do anything without getting injured. You see, it was Circuit 3 and I was going from chest flies to anterior raises and a side lunge when my knee rubbed against the floor. I figured it was just a rug burn so I kept going. After making the transition from the lunges back down to the floor, my knee caressed the floor and I smeared my blood on the carpet. It’s really great… just kidding.

Well that’s that. afterwards I make three hard-boiled eggs for myself. Just wanting to cleanse my body I did a face mask from Lush, they’re heavenly and showered. By the time I was done getting ready for school I had 20 minutes to spare so I just sat there on my couch, relaxing, something I usually don’t get to do in the morning.

Well, school… was school. English we were supposed to be blogging, blogging about the homework I didn’t do, which I have to do after I publish this post, then in yearbook class which my friend and I are…. Wait for it…. THE CO-EDITOR IN CHIEFS of the 2013-2014 yearbook. Woot, Any who, Yeah we had to give the kids in the class homework. I felt so in charge. That is, until they didn’t want to do it. But ehh, it’s due Thursday.

So, then the day went and went and it was fun and then lunch. Lunch was great. I was happily eating my apple until the giant centipede decided it would go for an afternoon stroll right where I was sitting (I was on the floor because my friends eat in the band room, so I eat there too at times). Yeah, the boys wouldn’t kill it and some girl didn’t want it dead, but then out of nowhere a girl hit it with her shoe, and it was dead, Alas, bye-bye buggy. Then, no one wanted to clean up the remains, so that was left for me. It’s only a bug, all is fine. I did lose my appetite however, picturing that crawling into my lunch box… GROSS

I am in AP Micro and MAcro econ so after school, I had to go to the lunch room for bubbling al of my answer keys (name, address, school, etc) so that when it came time for test taking, we could start bright and early. And that was my day.

So, I did finish my 50 squats, and the No Junk Food challenge commences tomorrow, and we’ll do day 1 of the whatever other challenge I’m doing.
